Science Fair was a Huge Success

I hope you were able to get out and see the amazing work of our Salt Creek scientists last week.  There were approximately 50 projects that were entered into the Science Fair and each of them demonstrated high level scientific thinking and analysis.  From deciding how to keep a sliced apple from turning brown (turns out they taste just fine anyway so it doesn’t matter), to desalination of sea water and wireless charging stations, there was lots of great learning and discoveries.  One of my favorites was this demonstration of the greasiness of chips.  The winners of most and least greasiest are pictured below.

Thank you to Ms. Allinger and Ms Halko and their army of volunteers for organizing the 2011 Science Fair and congratulations to all of our student participants.
