This year’s Speech Contest theme was to use imagination and creativity to make the world a better place. Thirty Salt Creek 4th-6th graders participated in the Speech Contest and showcased their public speaking skills around innovative ideas from creating technology security, to designing safer airports, to creating a “Need to Read” foundation. Winners Nika Woehl (4th grade), Alana Melendrez (5th grade), and Melanie Halko (6th grade) will proudly represent Salt Creek at the District Speech Contest Semi-Finals on Feb. 25 (4th grade), Feb. 26 (5th grade),and Feb. 27 (6th grade). We are very proud of them and wish them the best as the move forward in the competition.
