2015 is in full swing, and the Salt Creek PTG would like to kick it off by reminding you to join us at “Taste of Eastlake” on Friday, January 23rd. This event is being sponsored by the Eastlake Education Foundation. The EEF raises funds to support technology in Eastlake schools including Salt Creek Elementary! If you would like more information about “The Taste of Eastlake,” please visit www.eefkids.org.

Week At a Glance

What’s Happening in January & February?

January

Mission 2 $ave

  • Wednesday, January 21st – 7:30 am in front of the school – Once again, Mission Federal Bank is here to help our Mountain Lions learn about the importance of saving. Kids can open accounts and make regular deposits (without going to the bank) every Wednesday for the entire school year.

Taste of Eastlake

  • Friday, January 23rd – 6 pm at the Venue – Tickets are on sale now at www.eefkids.org. Help to support the Eastlake Educational Foundation as it raises funds for technology in Eastlake schools!

Salt Creek Elementary School Spelling Bee

  • Saturday, January 24thin the MPR – The winners have been chosen. The top 3 spellers from each classroom are being invited to compete in the School Spelling Bee. From there, qualified participants will represent Salt Creek Elementary at the District Spelling Bee being held at Camarena School on February 7th.

Restaurant Night

  • Wednesday, January 28th3 pm to Close – Give up cooking for one night and join us at Rubio’s (by the Walmart) for Salt Creek Elementary School Restaurant Night. 20% of your bill will be donated back to the PTG.

Eastlake High School Show Choir Assembly

  • Friday, January 30thIn the MPR – Feel free to join us as the students are WOWED by the Eastlake High School Show Choir.

February

Valentine’s Dance

  • Friday, February 6th6:30 pm in the MPR – Join us for this popular event. Ticket sales will happen before & after school on the following days: Thursday, January 29th; Friday, January 30th; Monday, February 2nd; Tuesday, February 3rd & Wednesday, February 4th. Tickets will NOT be available for purchase at the door.
