This Thursday, October 16 at 10:16 a.m., over 10 million Californians, including all Chula Vista Elementary Schools, will participate in the Great California Shake Out  Earthquake Drill.  Being prepared and practicing what to do during an earthquake is important because although some areas of California are more likely to have earthquakes than others, all of California is at higher risk compared to the rest of the country. You could be anywhere when an earthquake strikes: at home, at work, at school, or even on vacation.  At Salt Creek, we practice Earthquake Drills once per quarter, so our students have practiced the Drop, Cover, and Hold On protocol before.  We encourage you to participate in the state-wide drill as well, whether you are at home or at work.  Please click the link if you would like to know more about the Great California Shake Out.
