Weekly Update for September 15th to September 19th

F.Y.I.

  • Box Tops are back. Please start saving your Box Tops. Box Top Deadline has been moved to Friday, September 19th.This is one of our easiest fundraising opportunities. The grade level tubes will be out in the MPR this week, and your students can start dropping their Box Tops off. As always, we challenge each grade level to try and out-do the other! 
  • Fall BreakSeptember 20th to October 6th. School will resume on Tuesday, October 7th.

 What’s Coming Up in September & October?

September

1st Quarter Parent/Teacher Conferences

  • September 11th to September 19th – More information about these conferences will come home with your child. Times and places are arranged independently by each teacher. Early dismissal will happen on these days. School will get out at 1:15 pm.

Scholastic Book Fair

  • Monday, September 15th to Friday, September 19th -The Scholastic Book Fair is back. Please see separate post for more information or see the flyer that came home last week.

Mission 2 $ave 

  • Wednesday, September 17th – 7:30 am in front of the school – Once again, Mission Federal Bank is here to help our Mountain Lions learn about the importance of saving. Kids can open accounts and make regular deposits without even going to the bank every Wednesday for the entire school year.

1st Quarter Awards Assembly

  • Tentatively scheduled for September 18th & September 19th – More information will follow.

Spirit Tags

  • Thursday, September 18thIn front of schoolSpirit Tags will go on sale both before and after school.

BOX TOP Deadline

Fall Festival 

  • Friday, October 24th5 pm to 8 pm on the blacktop – Fall Festival is one of our biggest fundraisers. This event includes candy, food, games, a DJ, dancing, laser tag, cookie decorating, face-painting and an incredible silent auction. Kid’s are encouraged to dress up Halloween style. Wristbands will go on sale soon. Stay tuned for more info!
