What is Peace Patrol?
Peace Patrol is an exciting educational program that teaches kids to be effective problem-solvers and positive decision makers. Through Peace Patrol students learn skills that enable them to guide other students in peaceful conflict resolution. The goals of Peace Patrol are fourfold:
- To empower all students by establishing a foundation of self-esteem, respect for others, cooperation, peaceful communication, and conflict resolution strategies.
- To teach students how to create solutions, consider consequences, and make positive choices.
- To provide students with reasonable alternatives to gangs and antisocial behavior.
- To give students the skills for making school, home, and community environments safe and happier.
We are excited to have another year of Peace Patrol on campus again. All interested 4th-6th graders are welcome to attend an informational meeting held in Mr. Ricketts’ room, Room 507, during recess on Monday, August 18.
